Privacy Policy
This document outlines the policy used when the Transit website collects any data from you, the end user. All information collected will only be used in accordance with the policy set out in this document. This policy may change; you may check this page regularly in order to view any changes. This policy is effective from March 7, 2008.
Data that may be collected
- Data uploaded to the Transit Live Demo (located at http://www.get-transit.com/demo);
- Data entered into the Transit Live Demo (such as information provided when creating a new user, etc.);
- In the event of purchasing Transit, payment information from PayPal;
- In the event of completing the contact form, your name, email address, and enquiry details.
What we do with collected data
The aforementioned data is collected to allow you to sample Transit itself (in the case of points 1 and 2 in the previous section), to process your order for a copy of Transit yourself and provide you with a copy of Transit (in the case of point 3 above), and to provide you with relevant information for any queries or problems you may have with regard to Transit (in the case of point 4 above).
Data collected from the Transit Live Demo is deleted completely every 24-48 hours, and is not downloaded by the developer of Transit for any purpose. All passwords provided to the Transit Live Demo are encrypted and are not viewable by the developer of Transit. The developer of Transit is not liable for any damage, either direct or indirect, that is caused as a result of using the Transit Live Demo.
Upon making a payment via PayPal for the purchase of a Transit license, any financial information provided will be held in the strict confidence and not be distributed to any third parties (in accordance with the 'Confidentiality' clause below).
Spam
The developer of Transit strongly discourages spam and mass-mailing for negative purposes. Your email address will only be used to provide you with relevant information (in the case of ordering Transit, information regarding your order, and in the case of contacting the developer, information regarding your original enquiry) and will not be used to send you any unsolicited email.
Confidentiality
Any data collected from you will not be distributed to any third parties, unless required to by law. In the event that a third party may be able to provide you with relevant information based on the data collected, you will be consulted first in order to obtain your permission. If any information submitted about you is incorrect, please get in contact so that the issue can be rectified.
